Privacy policy
Effective September 23, 2026 · Operator: Eurekable Co., Ltd. · Contact: dev@eurekable.space
This policy applies to the MorningCaster iOS and Android apps. The app provides weather, alarms, spoken briefings and music without requiring an account.
Information stored on your device
Your name, alarms and routines, selected places, voices and music, weather cache, speech mode, downloaded AI models, synthesized speech and voice readiness check results are stored on your device. If you redeem an access code on Android, the signed code is also stored locally and is not sent to our server. We do not request your age or date of birth. We do not send your name to our server.
Weather, location and network processing
Current location is optional and is used only with your location permission. You can select a region manually without granting that permission. Weather requests send your selected region or coordinates and request information to weather services. Weather outside Korea is retrieved from the stated providers, including MET Norway, through MorningCaster servers hosted on Cloudflare. Network providers may process IP addresses and connection and security information. System address lookup services and map providers may also process region search terms, geocoding coordinates, map requests and IP addresses. The app does not continuously track your location in the background.
Speech synthesis and voice responses
iOS
Briefings are synthesized on your device using a system voice in your selected language or a Supertonic AI model. Voice model downloads use Apple’s app resource delivery services. We do not send your name or briefing to our AI server. Optional voice responses require microphone and speech recognition permissions and request on-device processing through Apple speech recognition. This feature is unavailable if on-device recognition is not supported. The app does not store response audio on our server.
Android
The default voice uses Google TTS when available, falling back to an installed system voice in your selected language. The app selects an installed offline voice in your selected language. Optional Supertonic 3 AI models are downloaded through Google Play and synthesize briefings on your device after download. The name and briefing to be synthesized are not sent to our AI server.
Microphone-based voice responses are a separate optional feature. The Android speech recognition service, supplied by Google or your device provider, processes responses and may send audio to external servers depending on the service settings and device. The app does not store response audio on our server. Speech recognition is separate from on-device AI speech synthesis. You can deny microphone permission or turn off voice responses.
Advertising and consent
Free users may see Google AdMob banners on the home screen. On iOS, we disable ad personalization and request Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission to use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure ads in the free app. You can use the app if you decline, and IDFA is not sent with ad requests in that case. On Android, we do not ask for or infer age and apply the same protective settings to every ad request. Android requests non-personalized ads with a maximum G content rating and applies under-age-of-consent treatment to restrict advertising ID transmission and requests to third-party ad vendors. Ads are requested only after the required consent process and subscription status have been checked. Ads are not shown during alarms, briefings or music playback, or while a subscription is active.
When serving ads, Google may process and share approximate location inferred from IP addresses, ad and app interactions, diagnostics and device identifiers such as the app set ID for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. The app restricts ad personalization and does not include names, microphone audio, saved places, weather coordinates or briefing text in ad requests. Non-personalized ads may still involve measurement and security data processing. Regional consent choices are managed through Google UMP and, where applicable, can be changed under Ad privacy settings in the app’s settings.
Payments and app security
iOS
Apple App Store handles subscription payments. The app applies benefits after checking verified purchase status through StoreKit. We do not collect card numbers or payment passwords. For weather requests outside Korea, the server verifies app authenticity using Apple App Attest to prevent abusive requests. This process handles the app installation’s attestation key identifier and verification data. Coordinates for weather outside Korea are rounded to two decimal places before transmission.
Android
Google Play handles subscription payments. The app checks purchase status, product IDs, purchase tokens and signatures to apply benefits. We do not collect card numbers or payment passwords. Cached purchase verification may be used for up to 24 hours if communication fails. To protect weather requests outside Korea, the server verifies Google Play Integrity results for app and device integrity and installation licensing, together with request hashes. This processing prevents abuse of weather requests.
Retention, deletion and your rights
How to delete data and submit a request
Local information is retained as needed to maintain app functions and can be removed through Storage → Clear data in Android app settings, or by deleting the app on iOS or Android. Deleting the app does not cancel subscriptions; cancel separately through subscription management in the App Store or Google Play used for purchase. Server weather caches are retained for forecast validity and refreshes; authentication replay-prevention records are cleaned up after expiry. Providers’ security logs, advertising and payment records follow their policies and legal retention duties. If you email us, we process your email address and message to reply and handle your request, and delete them when that purpose ends unless legally required to retain them.
Please contact us above to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or withdrawal of consent. There are no app accounts, and we cannot remotely access or delete information stored only on your device. Location, microphone, speech recognition permissions and advertising-related settings can be managed in your operating system’s settings.
External providers and international processing
Apple (iOS payments, app delivery, app verification, maps, location and speech), Google (ads, consent and Android payments, installation, integrity and speech), Cloudflare (weather servers and web hosting), MET Norway (weather outside Korea), and your device’s map, address and speech providers may process information needed to deliver features. Their global infrastructure may process information outside your country. We use HTTPS for the network communications needed by the app. Please review each provider’s policy for its processing practices and your rights.
Young users and policy changes
MorningCaster is intended for teens and adults and is not designed or marketed for children under 13. Android ads use the same protective settings for all users. When material processing changes occur, we update this page’s effective date and the notice in the app.
